Jer 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil ...”
The thoughts of our God toward us are always thoughts of peace, and not of evil; that is, they are thoughts on how to help us walk in abundant life of prosperity (Jn. 10:10). As children of the most High God, we must seek to be as He is in His thought-pattern. The Hebrew word translated “peace” in our Scriptural text is shâlôm. It implies, safety, wellness in spirit, soul, and body. It means, health, prosperity, favour, and welfare. We can be like our heavenly Father in always thinking about the welfare, wellbeing, and prosperity of others. We must resist every thought that destroys the reputation of people in our hearts. When we practice this, we will then, never speak evil of any man (Tit 3:2).
Our Prayers: My Father and my God, help me to always think of the welfare, wellbeing, and prosperity of others. I chose to always think good of others by the help of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus precious name.
